Pragma was founded by Kai Hsuan Liu and Christopher Wegener, two visionaries who combined their passion for watchmaking, engineering, and responsible innovation.
Kai’s journey began in Taiwan in 2014, designing his first mechanical watch against all odds. His work caught the attention of industry leaders, leading him to study at ECAL in Switzerland, where he met Christopher.
Christopher’s passion for horology started at fourteen during an internship. After facing early setbacks in launching his own brand, meeting Kai inspired him to pursue a shared vision of a new kind of Swiss watchmaking.
Their partnership was shaped by years of rigorous testing, research, and late-night brainstorming, pushing the boundaries of what independent watchmaking could achieve. Pragma is the culmination of their dedication to innovation, sustainability, and transparency—a brand built not only to tell time but to redefine how timepieces are made and valued.
